John Knox Village is a not-for-profit Life Care Retirement Community offering a full range of independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing care options for more than 1,000 senior residents on our 70-acre campus, located in Pompano Beach, convenient to major highways and transportation options.

As a Full-Time EMT Supervisor at John Knox Village of Florida, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the effectiveness of our EMT staff. You will provide daily leadership and motivation, ensuring seamless communication within the team. By assisting in the hiring, training, and coaching of new employees, you will help cultivate a high-performing workforce. You'll establish work schedules, review timesheets, and address personnel issues to maintain optimal operations.

Accuracy and timeliness in documentation, including adhering to workers' compensation procedures, will be essential. Additionally, you will monitor safety practices throughout the day, coordinate with security on emergency preparedness plans, and respond to both routine and urgent calls for service. Your ability to assess patients' conditions will guide decisions for on-site or facility treatment, further enhancing the quality of care we deliver to our community.

To thrive as a Full-Time EMT Supervisor at John Knox Village of Florida, you will need a combination of certifications, experience, and leadership abilities. A current EMT certification or paramedic license is essential, along with a valid driver's license. With over 7 years of experience in emergency medical services, you will be well-equipped to handle the fast-paced challenges of the role. Education and training in management, healthcare administration, or a related field will further enhance your effectiveness. Strong leadership skills are crucial as you will be responsible for motivating and guiding the EMT staff.

Additionally, familiarity with relevant software and tools for documenting incidents, scheduling, and performance evaluations will contribute to your success in ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency. Your ability to engage and inspire your team will be key in fostering a culture of excellence and safety.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Current EMT Certification or paramedic license. Valid Drivers License. 7+ years of experience working in emergency medical services as well as education and training in management
• healthcare administration or a related field. Strong Leadership skills.
