Tax Senior- Local Public Accounting Practice

We have partnered with a rapidly growing accounting practice here in the Jacksonville FL area that focuses on wealth management, business advisory services, and building partnerships with the local business community as well as company leaders in the North Florida, Amelia Island, and St. Augustine Fl. area.

This is a growing accounting team, and is only adding clients every month, as they are a forward thinking and employee-centric accounting firm that wants their teams to grow and doesn't drive people to be in a stressed-out work environment working too many hours, even through busy season.

Responsibilities:

Providing tax prep services and advisory services to a wide range of businesses, High Net Worth individuals, and various business entities

Oversee multiple tax engagements as well as work with the office in a team environment

Complete all work and engagements according to the specified deadlines and in accordance with firm rules

Complete tax research and prep work for C-Corps, S-Corps, HNW, partnerships, trusts, and other entities 5M to 50M in revenues

Mentor junior staff for training and development

Create and foster client relationships for the firm

Qualifications:

B.S. in accounting or equivalent (econ, business with focus in accounting, finance, stats) who is potentially on track to fulfilling the additional CPA credit hour requirement (additional education) OR on track to working towards the CPA in the future would be a plus

1-2 years of tax experience working with multiple business entities

Ideal tax prep work across multiple industries including construction, healthcare, retail, finance, manufacturing, logistics

Experience with various accounting software programs if possible including CCH Pro System FX or other comparable accounting software is ideal.

Great communicator with a teamwork oriented mindset and personal skills to lead teams as well as coach other staff members

Experience as a person that is always striving to learn, develop, end get better in the tax world
