Analyze Pathology is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Specimen Accessioner to join our growing laboratory team in Deerfield Beach, FL.
This position is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong data entry skills, and are committed to maintaining accuracy while handling patient specimens.
Previous laboratory processing experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, sort, and accession patient specimens
- Enter patient demographic and testing information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- Verify specimen integrity and review requisition forms for completeness and accuracy
- Identify and resolve specimen discrepancies according to laboratory procedures
- Perform specimen preparation, including centrifuging, freezing, aliquoting, and other special processing as required
- Label specimens accurately and prepare samples for testing
- Package and ship specimens to appropriate testing facilities
- Maintain an organized and efficient work area
- Meet daily productivity and quality standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of laboratory processing or specimen accessioning experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to accurately identify and process specimens
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work Tuesday through Saturday
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting pay: $19.00 per hour
