A well-established steel company is looking to hire an Heavy Equipment Operator in Lake Wales, FL. As a Heavy Equipment Operator/Laborer you will be responsible for operating a heavy duty forklift to haul finished steel to and from the shop, along with general tasks. What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate heavy-duty industrial forklifts to transport finished steel between the shop and storage areas
• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them in designated locations
• Move stock to pallets or crates for storage or shipment, ensuring efficient organization
• Identify and report any damages, shortages, or quality issues.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations as required
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Complete additional manual labor tasks as needed

Who We’re Looking For

• Demonstrated experience as a heavy-duty forklift operator is required
• Class A CDL License preferred, but not required
• Strong commitment to punctuality and maintaining a dependable work schedule
• Ability to accurately handle and track inventory and equipment
• Excellent physical condition and coordination necessary for the demands of the job
• Flexibility to handle varying workloads and adapt to different tasks as needed
• Steel toe boots or shoes are required

What You Can Expect

• $23.00 - $25.00/hour, depending on experience
• Typical schedule of Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm
• Occasional weekends and OT as required
