Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Forklift Operator to join our team in Sarasota, FL. In this role, you will operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to support daily operations, including material handling, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general warehouse tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Forklift Operation

• Safely operate sit‑down forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials
• Transport pallets and products throughout the warehouse in an efficient and controlled manner
• Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any mechanical issues

Shipping & Receiving

• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks
• Receive incoming shipments and verify product accuracy and condition
• Prepare outbound shipments, including labeling, wrapping, and staging materials

Material Handling & Inventory

• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting to maintain accurate stock levels
• Restock materials and organize warehouse storage areas
• Identify, document, and report inventory discrepancies

General Warehouse Operations

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
• Use handheld scanners to track inventory movements and process orders
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA guidelines

Qualifications

• Prior forklift operating experience required; certification preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or operate machinery for extended periods
• Basic computer and scanning‑device skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
• Dependable team player with a strong work ethic

Work Environment & Schedule

• Full‑time position based in Sarasota, FL
• Fast‑paced warehouse environment requiring frequent forklift and equipment operation

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bradenton, FL.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
