Accountant

We are looking to hire an Accountant at Sign in Solutions. In this role you’ll jump in to tackle the day to day accounting operations, with a focus on general ledger accounting, and help implement scalable systems and efficient processes as the company grows.

We are looking for a candidate who has an accounting background with some experience in a high-growth technology company and who will bring innovation, efficiency and a positive outlook.

This is a hybrid role (3x/week in office) based in St Petersburg, Fl.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field with significant Accounting coursework
• CPA designation is an asset
• Previous experience in full cycle accounting in a SaaS or tech company is a plus
• Excellent knowledge and application of US GAAP
• Highly organized & detail oriented
• Great communication skills and is comfortable communicating with customers via email and phone
• Some knowledge of process improvement methodology and business process management techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to forge effective relationships through all organizational levels and with customers
• Able to operate effectively & efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to implement processes and controls to ensure data integrity
• Able to research accounting issues and write memos
• Passionate about leveraging technology and experience implementing financial software to automate accounting and finance processes
• Experience in Netsuite, Charbee and Salesforce is a plus
• Strong proficiency in Excel

• Reviewing customer contracts in Salesforce and ensure they are set up correctly for revenue recognition
• Customer billing & cash receipt processing
• Ensuring that accounts receivable is collected promptly and that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
• Work with Controller to implement and adhere to AR and AP controls and processes
• Managing our corporate credit card and expense report processes
• Reconcile bank and investment accountsImproving and implementing financial processes to drive organization efficiencies
• Lead systems projects and process improvement initiatives
• Lead month and year end close processes which includes reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries
• Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
• Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
