Physician (Radiology-Diagnostic)-Cardiac imager (Gainesville)

The North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System is seeking a cardiac imager with expertise in nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT, and cardiac MRI. The selectee will serve as a full-time cardiac imager for the Diagnostic Imaging Service. The position is open to qualified applicants from Cardiology or Radiology who have sufficient experience and training. If radiology background, additional general diagnostic radiology skill set including radiography, fluoroscopy, US, CT, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine.

Duties

This announcement has been amended to change the closing date to 8/29/2025 and to remove the bargaining unit status due to the termination of the master collective bargaining agreement as of August 6, 2025, pursuant to EO 14251. The duties have been updated accordingly.

The Physician may serve as a Radiologist or Cardiologist. The position involves serving as a full-time cardiac imager for the Diagnostic Imaging Service, with expertise in nuclear cardiology (PET/CT, SPECT/CT MPS), cardiovascular CT, and MRI. Additional radiology skills include radiography, fluoroscopy, US, CT, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine, applicable in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
