At Wendover Management, we believe our communities thrive when our people do. We're looking for a hands-on, service-driven Community Care Specialist to join our team and bring their expertise to a vibrant community.
This role is for someone who takes pride in quality work, builds trust through action, and sees every service call as a chance to make someone’s day better. If you're energized by meaningful work, team collaboration, and creating safe, beautiful homes, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
As a Community Care Specialist at Wendover, you’ll be the heartbeat behind our community’s first impression. You’ll ensure our shared spaces—from walkways to welcome centers—are clean, cared for, and reflective of the pride we take in where we live and work. Whether you're removing debris, preparing a unit for move-in, or supporting the service team with light repairs, your role brings care and consistency to every corner of the community. You’ll be part of a team that values respect, reliability, and responsibility—where every detail matters and every resident experience counts.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of all exterior areas including common spaces, grounds, amenities, and parking areas
- Remove trash and debris from offices, building exteriors, trash chutes, and compactors on a daily or as-needed basis
- Assist in preparing vacant apartments for new residents, including trash removal and light make-ready tasks
- Support the maintenance team by cleaning available apartments and model units
Help troubleshoot and assist with light maintenance and repair tasks (mechanical, carpentry, electrical)
- Communicate and report any maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor promptly
- Support community emergency response and weather-related clean-up when needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops and work areas
- Work collaboratively across teams and contribute to a positive, respectful community environment
- Collaborate with office staff on community projects or resident needs as requested
- Embrace our shared responsibility culture—where every team member plays a role in safety, service, and success
Requirements
What You Bring
- • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior property or maintenance experience is a plus
• Light skills in carpentry, painting, drywall repair, and general repairs
• Ability to stay organized, multitask, and follow through in a fast-paced, people-centered setting
• A strong sense of pride in your work and a heart for service
• A keen eye for detail and a proactive mindset toward safety and presentation
• Customer service focus with a positive, team-first attitude
• Promote a collaborative culture rooted in respect, ownership, and accountability
“We rise together” isn’t just something we say—it’s how we work. At Wendover, we empower our team members to grow, lead, and make a lasting difference.
Working Conditions & Expectations
- This is a full-time role requiring flexibility, some weekend work, and occasional overtime. This role is active and hands-on, requiring physical stamina, agility, and attention to detail to ensure a safe, well-maintained community.
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout the day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Use of ladders, power tools, and other maintenance equipment as needed
