Senior Algo Software Engineer

As a Senio r Algo Software Engineer on the Algo team you will get to work on the core execution engine, solve challenging technical problems, and learn about market microstructure in a fast-paced and engaging environment.

Our Senior Algo Software Engineers play a key role in the research, design, and implementation of software that leverages cutting edge technology to develop high performance, high reliability systems. You will make meaningful contributions to drive improvements in trade execution, work with large volumes of data and develop critical components of the execution engine. Working alongside highly talented developers and researchers at an award-winning investment management firm, you will have the opportunity to apply creative and innovative solutions with peers who strive to achieve exceptional results in a collaborative and motivating setting.

Summary of Job Functions

• Develop software for real-time execution systems
• Optimize and improve system performance to help capture opportunities in markets
• Work with a tight-nit team to collaborate on software research initiatives and seek opportunities for system improvement
• Develop tools to enable efficient storage, retrieval and accessibility of large scale data
• Guide and mentor junior engineers

Minimum Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related discipline
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience programming in C++ in a Linux environment
• Experience with STL, Boost and multi-threading
• Knowledge of performance tuning and code optimization
• Familiarity with FIX protocol
• Understanding of SQL
• Ability to work onsite in our Jupiter, FL office

Preferred Skills and Previous Experience

• Experience in designing high performance software systems capable of handling data high load
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals
• Familiarity with financial data and financial industry standards, concepts, and processes
