Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Legal Assistant to support its Orlando office. This role provides high-level administrative and billing support to attorneys within the Labor & Employment practice group. The ideal candidate brings strong law firm experience, particularly within labor and employment, along with advanced billing and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to Labor & Employment attorneys
- Manage billing processes using Aderant (time entry, edits, tracking, analysis)
- Prepare, review, and submit client invoices; resolve billing discrepancies
- Coordinate with attorneys and accounting to ensure accurate billing compliance
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents and correspondence
- Handle federal and state court filings (e-filing experience required)
- Maintain case files, calendars, and deadlines
- Communicate with clients and internal teams professionally and efficiently
Qualifications
- 5+ years of legal assistant experience, preferably in Labor & Employment law
- Strong experience with Aderant or similar billing software
- Proficiency in federal and state court e-filing systems
- Excellent proofreading, drafting, and attention to detail
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively with legal teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
