Job Title: Economic Prosperity Program Coordinator

Pay Range: $45,000 to $47,902 annually DOE
Summary: YWCA South Florida seeks a mission-driven Economic Prosperity Program Coordinator to lead programs that support financial stability, career mobility, and economic independence for women and families. This role manages program delivery, participant engagement, and community partnerships across financial literacy, workforce development, and entrepreneurship initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Leads the planning and execution of economic prosperity activities including financial literacy workshops, entrepreneurship cohorts, digital literacy training, Matched Savings and workforce readiness programs.
• Manages participant recruitment, cohort coordination, and curriculum delivery to ensure high-quality programming.
• Coordinates the provision of engaging workshops covering budgeting, credit building, savings strategies, and career advancement.
• Provides success coaching and guidance to help participants set and achieve financial goals.
• Creates pathways for participants to access financial services, employment resources, entrepreneurship support, and other improvement opportunities.
• Provides individualized coaching related to economic stability and workforce development, including professional soft-skills, career planning, resume development, job search strategies, and interview preparation.
• Supports participants in overcoming obstacles to program participation and completion by accessing resources such as childcare assistance, transportation support and health programs.
• Builds and maintains relationships with program partners such as funders, financial institutions, workforce development agencies, and other community-based organizations.
• Builds and maintains relationships with program participants and graduates to keep them informed on current opportunities.
• Engages financial institutions and community partners to support financial literacy workshops, matched savings initiatives, and asset-building opportunities.
• Identifies and cultivates new partnerships that expand access to employment opportunities, financial services, and entrepreneurship resources for program participants.
• Coordinates with local workforce boards, career centers, and training providers to connect participants with certifications, apprenticeships, and skills training programs.
• Partners with educational institutions and digital training providers to increase access to digital literacy and career advancement programs.
• Supports outreach and recruitment efforts by promoting programs through community networks, partner organizations, and public events.
• Designs visual communications tools aimed at increasing awareness and participation in Prosperity events, cohorts, and social media campaigns.
• Represents YWCA at community meetings, workforce coalitions, and outreach events.
• Documents partnership activities and tracks referral sources, outcomes, and community impact.
• Tracks program activities, enrollment, participation, services, and outcomes, ensuring data quality and confidentiality standards are maintained in all documentation and reporting processes.
• Monitors key performance indicators, including employment outcomes, income increases, savings milestones, and financial capability improvements.
• Maintains accurate case notes and participant records to ensure compliance with organizational and funder requirements.
• Prepares timely reports and summaries for funders, organizational leadership, and stakeholders.
• Supports the development of dashboards, performance metrics, and program evaluation tools to track progress and outcomes.
• Assists with grant reporting by compiling data, participant stories, budgeting, and use of funds, and program achievements.
• Finds opportunities to expand program reach and impact across South Florida.
• Researches economic policies, trends and best practices in workforce development and financial stability that could affect YWCA families.
• Contributes to strategic planning and the development of new initiatives that help participants transition from low-wage jobs to sustainable careers and entrepreneurship.
• Analyzes, evaluates, overcomes program risks, and produces program reports to management and stakeholders.
Requirements
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Sociology, Education, or a closely related field required. Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
Professional experience in workforce development, economic mobility programs, financial capability education, program management, and case management, facilitation of financial literacy workshops, workforce readiness training, or entrepreneurship programming preferred.
Demonstrated experience working with low- to moderate-income individuals, women, or historically underserved communities. Experience managing program data, outcomes tracking, and reporting for grant-funded programs preferred. Familiarity with career pathways, job placement strategies, financial coaching, or asset-building programs such as matched savings initiatives is a plus. Exposure to developing or maintaining partnerships with community organizations, employers, or workforce agencies a plus.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus in serving the diverse communities of South Florida.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Virtual Platforms a definite plus
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises several temporary staff, volunteers, partners and/or contractors at any time during the program based on need.
