About the Role:
As a Team Member/Sales Person at DADDYS SMOKE SHOP LLC (DSSL), you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales within a dynamic retail environment. Your primary focus will be to engage with customers, understand their needs, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on our diverse product offerings. You will contribute to maintaining an organized, welcoming, and compliant store atmosphere that aligns with company standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires collaboration with team members to achieve sales targets and support daily operational tasks. Ultimately, your efforts will directly impact customer satisfaction, repeat business, and the overall success of DSSL.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Legal age to sell tobacco products as per local and state regulations.
- Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register or point-of-sale system.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and stocking.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous retail or sales experience, preferably in a tobacco or specialty shop environment.
- Familiarity with tobacco products, accessories, and related regulations.
- Customer service training or certification.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Provide detailed product information and recommendations tailored to customer preferences and needs.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and handle cash or electronic payments securely.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and inventory levels, including restocking shelves and conducting stock checks.
- Adhere to all company policies and legal regulations related to the sale of tobacco and related products.
- Collaborate with team members to meet and exceed sales goals and support promotional activities.
- Report any customer feedback, concerns, or incidents to management promptly.
Skills:
The required skills such as effective communication and customer service are essential for engaging with customers and understanding their needs to provide tailored product recommendations. Basic math and point-of-sale operation skills ensure accurate and efficient transaction processing, which is critical for daily sales activities. Physical stamina and organizational skills help maintain a clean and well-stocked store environment, contributing to a positive shopping experience.
