Position Summary: The MRI Technologist performs high quality MRI scans while delivering excellent patient care.

Qualifications:

1) ARRT(MRI) certification or ARMRIT certification

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform MRI scans on patients utilizing existing radiologist devised protocols

· Provide excellent patient care & customer service to all patients being scanned

· Administer IV contrast to MRI patients when requested by requisition/script

· Ability to work both independently and as a team-player.

· Must be flexible with schedule

· Perform Weekly ACR mandated quality control on MRI scanner

· Assist with image acquisition for ACR submissions

· Interact with radiologists when necessary regarding protocols & special applications

· Ensure MRI scan room is safely secured from general public & non-screened employees.

· Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

· Maintain Licensing by adhering to CEU responsibilities.

· Complete Daily Totals Sheet.

· Initial & verify charges match authorization & script.

· All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager

· Report Statistics to MRI supervisor.

· Submit peer review on a monthly basis.

· Enter MRI Orders in Athena and bill out scans when completed
