Field Superintendent - Modernization

Your main responsibilities

Drive the full lifecycle of elevator modernization projects. You will lead field technicians, manage project finances, and collaborate with sales to ensure high-quality, profitable, and safe installations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Oversight: Manage projects from submittals to close-out, ensuring timely material delivery and 90% invoicing prior to turnover.

Field Leadership: Direct day-to-day operations for hydraulic and geared modernizations; train technicians and maintain positive Union Relations.

Operations: Conduct field surveys, estimate bids, interpret blueprints, and procure specialized elevator components.

Performance: Identify change orders, monitor job efficiency, and ensure strict Schindler Safety compliance.

What you bring

Education: Bachelor’s degree or related technical program

Experience: 5 years leading projects and technical teams (Elevator/Building systems preferred)

Technical Skills: Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office 365

Acumen: Strong financial management and communication skills.
