H&A Farms is a family-owned, multigenerational agricultural business with operations in Orange, Lake, and Levy counties. The companies farming and packing operations manages 1,000+ acres and packs fruit for another 60+ growers throughout Florida and Georgia representing another 1,800+ acres. The company also has an agritourism business that operates as Amber Brooke Farms located in Eustis, Florida and provides u-pick, special events, festivals, and private event activities for nearly 10,000 guests every year.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Seasonal Forklift Operator to join our team for the season and support our operations during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move goods around the facility.
• Responsible for loading and unloading materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Ensure that materials are organized and easily accessible.
• Regularly inspect forklift equipment to ensure it is safe and operational.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies regarding health and safety standards to minimize workplace hazards.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers to coordinate logistics and material movement.

Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid forklift operator training certificate, compliant with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards.
• Previous experience in warehouses, packing plants, or similar environments is advantageous.
• Experience in handling fresh produce.
• Strong hand-eye coordination, ability to read and understand safety management documents, and effective communication skills.
• Available to work the night shift.
