Job Summary

We are a small company based in the Miami area seeking a Bilingual Staff Accountant (English/Spanish) with 4–5 years of hands‐on accounting experience . This role is responsible for daily accounting operations, including general ledger activities, vendor payments, account reconciliations, payroll processing, and HR operational and administrative activities.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a small‐company environment where accuracy, organization, and communication are essential. Strong Excel skills and solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP are required.

This role offers the opportunity to expand responsibilities over time as the company grows and accounting processes continue to evolve. The position provides exposure to multiple areas of accounting and operations, allowing the individual to develop deeper knowledge and broaden their skill set.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate general ledger accounting and prepare journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP .
• Process vendor payments and ensure proper documentation, coding, and approval.
• Maintain regular communication with vendors to address payment questions and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform monthly credit card, and general ledger reconciliations .
• Assist with month‐end close , including account analysis, supporting schedules.
• Prepare financial data and reconciliations using Microsoft Excel .
• Process payroll using ADP in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
• Handle HR operational and administrative activities , including employee records and coordination with payroll and benefits providers.
• Maintain organized accounting files and documentation.
• Assist with audit requests and special accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–5 years of accounting experience , preferably in a small or mid‐size company.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP .
• Strong experience with:
  • Accounts payable & vendor payments
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • General ledger accounting
• Strong Excel skills (reconciliations, formulas, lookups).
• Experience processing payroll .
• Bilingual – fluent in English and Spanish (required) .
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
