Wendy's General Manager (Fast Food) (A)
Local Fast Food Restaurant Group is looking for their next General Manager to oversee one of their store locations. We offer comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision plans, company-paid Long Term Disability, and Basic Life Insurance, effective the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Job Summary:- The GM manages the daily operations of the food restaurant to achieve sales, profits, customer satisfaction, and human resource management objectives.
- Ensures objectives are achieved while operating within all Company guidelines and following ethical business practices.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Ensure the overall operational excellence of the restaurant, maintaining standards of cleanliness, food quality, and customer service.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment and minimizing wastage.
Staffing and Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance issues promptly.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Financial Management:
- Oversee cash control procedures, ensuring accuracy in daily sales reporting, deposits, and cash handling.
- Monitor restaurant expenses and revenue, implementing strategies to optimize profitability.
Customer Service and Satisfaction:
- Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and food quality.
- Address customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Promote a culture of open communication, mutual respect, and employee engagement.
- Address employee grievances and concerns promptly, maintaining a fair and equitable workplace.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent Leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and coach a team.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and compliance.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education & Experience:
- High School Degree or GED; college degree preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in restaurant operations.
- Knowledge and understanding of restaurant operations, accounting, budgeting, and administrative procedures.
- Strong supervisory, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally and gaining consensus to make informed decisions and recommendations.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Long periods of standing on feet without a break.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. if needed without assistance.
