Bilingual Laboratory Technician (chemist)III
We are seeking a Lab Technician (Chemist) III to join a pharmaceutical laboratory environment. This role is responsible for performing routine chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in compliance with GMP and GLP standards.
This position requires strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and experience working with analytical laboratory equipment.
Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM
Essential Responsibilities:
- Evaluate chemical and physical properties of pharmaceutical substances
- Perform routine chemical analysis of raw materials, process intermediates, and finished products following GMP guidelines
- Prepare volumetric test solutions and mobile phases
- Utilize and operate laboratory equipment including HPLC, ICP, ICP-MS, GC, UV, and FT-NIR
- Perform titration techniques and analytical testing
- Calculate, interpret, and review test results
- Prepare test reports and maintain accurate lab notebooks
- Maintain documentation in accordance with SOPs, cGLP, and quality standards
- Perform Phase I OOS investigations as required
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and qualify laboratory equipment
- Maintain laboratory housekeeping, including waste disposal, gas cylinder transfer, and glassware washing
- Dispose of laboratory waste in compliance with EPA regulations
- Follow all laboratory safety rules and procedures
- Assist senior chemists as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Science-related discipline (Chemistry preferred) or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years of laboratory experience (pharmaceutical industry preferred)
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
- Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and laboratory safety practices
- Experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, ICP-MS, GC, UV, and FT-NIR
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and quality management systems
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Basic math and analytical skills
- Ability to work 2nd shift and rotating/night shifts if required
- Commitment to cleaning, safety, and compliance practices
