The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team in Boca Raton, Florida. In this crucial role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting our attorneys across various practice areas, including civil litigation, commercial litigation, corporate litigation, and construction defect matters. You will be responsible for handling a wide range of tasks, from managing complex filings and documentation to assisting with discovery and trial preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of state and federal electronic filings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Draft and prepare legal documents, pleadings, motions, and briefs with meticulous attention to detail.
- Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive summaries of relevant case law and statutes.
- Assist attorneys with discovery requests, responses, and depositions.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files, ensuring efficient document management.
- Prepare trial exhibits and presentations, anticipating attorney needs and providing proactive support.
- Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
- Stay abreast of changes in legal procedures and relevant case law.
- Perform other duties as assigned by attorneys and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in a fast-paced law firm environment.
- Proven expertise in state and federal e-filing systems and procedures.
- Strong drafting and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
- Florida Bar Paralegal Certification preferred.
