Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure optimal operation and minimize downtime. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Inspect and maintain HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems as needed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to minimize production interruptions.
- Recommend improvemens to maintenance processes and equipment reliability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in maintenance or related field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance software and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PLCs and automated systems.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (heat, cold, noise).
- Standing, bending, and climbing for extended periods.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour, based on experience.
