Quality Assurance Coordinator

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of quality and compliance standards throughout the organization. This role ensures all policies, procedures, and services align with internal protocols and regulatory guidelines, including those set by AHCA, CARF, DCF, and other relevant bodies. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and audit clinical documentation and service delivery for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Develop and implement QA protocols and performance improvement plans.
- Collaborate with leadership, clinical teams, and support staff to address identified areas of concern and enhance outcomes.
- Conduct training related to compliance, best practices, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of QA reviews, incident reports, and corrective actions.
- Assist with external audits and accreditation preparation processes.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and policy changes affecting behavioral healthcare.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in healthcare, human services, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality assurance, compliance, or a similar role in behavioral healthcare.
- Familiarity with Florida Medicaid, AHCA, DCF, and accreditation standards (CARF or Joint Commission preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems.
- Knowledge of performance improvement frameworks.
- Experience developing or maintaining policies and procedures.
- Ability to conduct staff training and present findings to leadership
- Competitive salary based on experience (range: $60,000.00- $65,000.00/year)

- Office environment, travel within the community, as needed
- Heavy exposure/use of computers, cell phones, office phones, etc.
- Daily, weekly, monthly and annual deadlines
- Specific vision abilities require close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus; must also have adequate vision to read correspondence(s), computer screen(s), form(s), etc.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, copier, telephone, calculator, and the ability to write and/or type
- Ability to be physically mobile (stand, walk, reach, climb, bend) and also the ability to sit for prolonged periods throughout work hours
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move 25 or more pounds
- Must be able to respond appropriately and effectively in crisis situations by using good judgment and following Lotus Behavioral Health protocols.
