JOB SUMMARY: To provide efficient, timely, and correct transportation supporting Mobile Health Operations.
REPORTS TO: Field Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, Operations Manager,
Operations Director
EQUIPMENT: Mobile Health Fleet Vehicle phone and/or radios and computerized communications equipment; oxygen bottles, concentrators, and tubings; fire extinguisher; simple mechanics tools; other medical and related equipment items not specifically listed may be added as new items are introduced.

Conducts regular Mobile Health Fleet inventory and equipment testing to ensure all equipment is present, clean and in proper working order.
Responsible for full knowledge of the vehicle’s Basic Life Support equipment and its proper use at all times.
Documents and reports all needed repairs to the proper maintenance departments (electronics or mechanical) as well as to supervisors.
Completes any documentation required timely and accurately.
Assist other medical personnel with patients as necessary.
Provides careful handling when performing non-medical transports
Provides prompt and efficient basic life support care as needed.
Provides safe and efficient transport of any item or person to the required destination.
Provides effective handoff of item or person upon delivery
Upon completion of transport, responsible for ensuring the vehicle is prepared for the next assignment
In the non-emergency setting, operates/drives the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, following HSE guidelines, so that the safety or condition of the occupants and equipment is not compromised.
Follows all FCC regulations when communicating via electronic communications equipment.
Attends all mandatory company meetings as scheduled.
Completes assigned miscellaneous duties as required by the position.
Obtains supplies and equipment to replenish shuttle van inventories as needed.
Completes assigned shuttle van duties (i.e. washing, waxing, interior and exterior cleaning, etc.) as required by the position.
Completes all required company reports and logs and when necessary. Provides other shuttle van and supervisor personnel with this information.
If approved, is responsible for orienting new employees as directed.
Performs other duties as required by Supervisor, Manager, or Director
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
- Active Florida EMT license
Current CPR certification as established by the American Heart Association.
Current and valid state-issued driver 's license determined by appropriate state requirements (equivalent of a Louisiana Class "D" driver's license).
Must be able to read, write and communicate professionally and effectively with employees and managers. Must possess the ability to write simple correspondence or reports. Must possess the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and/or managers.
Must be able to drive large vehicles in normal and adverse conditions.
Skilled in the use of maps. Excellent knowledge of the rules of driving for non-emergency situations.
Knowledge of common physical illnesses, minor and acute emergencies and the symptoms of each.
The ability to perform and act professionally adhering to Acadian Health Mission Statement and PIVOT values.
The ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with good knowledge of medical terminology. Skilled in the use of electronic communication devices, computers, radios, etc. The ability to deal sympathetically with patients and others.
The ability to act professionally with other employees, emergency service providers, healthcare workers and the general public.
Excellent knowledge of Company policy and procedure and the ability to perform to those standards.
Maintain social, ethical and organizational norms.
Maintain good personal motivation; develop a sense of ownership of job tasks and results.
Must have a sense of urgency for all work performed.
Ability to work under the pressure of meeting strict deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
