Accountant

AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio and designed for both commercial and government applications. Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Accountant to support our accounting team with daily financial operations. This role is well‑suited for recent graduates or early‑career professionals eager to gain hands‑on experience and build a strong foundation in accounting within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date financial records


• Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements and general ledger accounts


• Support both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes


• Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close procedures


• Maintain organized and compliant financial documentation and filing systems


• Support internal and external audit requests and related documentation gathering


• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports


• Ensure adherence to company policies, GAAP, and internal accounting standards

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

Experience:

A minimum of 0–1 years of accounting experience (internships preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of GAAP


• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle)


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel


• Prior internship or exposure to corporate finance environments

Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy


• Effective analytical and problem‑solving skills


• Good organizational and time‑management abilities


• Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow within the role


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to work collaboratively within a team‑oriented environment

Technology Stack:

• Microsoft Excel


• Accounting ERP systems such as NetSuite or Oracle (preferred)


• General proficiency in standard office productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a standard office environment


• Ability to use a computer and sit for extended periods


• Participate in virtual or in‑person meetings as required
