Procurement Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of procurement operations, including the implementation of a purchase requisition system, conducting formal vendor risk assessments, and managing contracts through Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
Responsibilities and Duties:
Purchasing Leadership:
- Serve as the primary purchasing advisor to the CFO and other Finance leadership, partnering closely with Operations, and supporting the purchasing organization.
- Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for clean room operations.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
Vendor Management and Partnering:
- Conduct formal vendor risk assessments to evaluate and mitigate potential risks.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Manage contracting processes through MSAs to ensure clear and consistent terms and mitigate vendor risks.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in purchasing within supply chain and with operational management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and support to staff on procurement management processes.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of purchasing management experience
- Deep understanding of purchasing contracts and manufacturing vendors
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency and Experience working in Global Shop Solutions.
- Experience with implementing purchase requisition systems and conducting vendor risk assessments.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management.
- Familiarity with manufacturing experience related to real estate, custom equipment, and/ or medical device manufacturing and distribution.
Supervision Required: minimal
Supervisory Responsibilities: lead a team of 2-3 buyers with development for growth in the future.
