Civil Professional Engineer
Harris Civil Engineers is looking for an experienced and licensed Civil Professional Engineer to lead complex site development projects, guide junior engineers, and drive efficient, high-quality solutions. What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the civil design and engineering of large-scale, complex site development projects.
- Manage project production timelines, deliverables, and budgets in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and design staff, providing technical guidance and career support.
- Oversee technical documentation, including plan sets, reports, research, and recommendations.
- Perform quality reviews and implement process improvements to maintain technical excellence.
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure compliance and project success.
- Support business development by nurturing client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Ensure all designs adhere to company standards and jurisdictional regulations.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- At least 10 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in site development or infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with tools such as WaterCAD, StormCAD, ICPR, GIS, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and critical thinking abilities.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a focus on practical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing design production processes and project schedules.
- Background in stormwater management, utility design, and related tools.
- Active involvement in professional engineering organizations.
