Store Manager - Luxury Equestrian Boutique
Salary:
Competitive salary based on experience, with potential performance-based incentives. Compensation will be commensurate with luxury retail leadership experience, sales performance, and knowledge of the equestrian lifestyle market.

Our client is seeking an experienced Store Manager to launch and lead a brand-new Luxury Western & British Equestrian Boutique in Ocala, FL. This position will be responsible for establishing the store as a premier luxury retail destination by delivering an exceptional customer experience, building a high-performing sales team, and driving revenue growth.
The ideal candidate combines luxury retail management expertise with a strong understanding of the equestrian lifestyle, including Western and/or British riding culture, premium apparel, tack, leather goods, and luxury lifestyle products. This individual will excel in relationship-based selling, client development, and creating personalized shopping experiences for affluent clientele, competitors, horse owners, trainers, and equestrian community members.
As the leader of this flagship boutique, the Store Manager will oversee all aspects of store operations, including team development, sales strategy, merchandising, inventory management, clienteling, and brand growth initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead all daily operations for a newly established luxury Western and British equestrian retail boutique.
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on exceptional service and sales excellence.
- Create an elevated luxury shopping experience that exceeds customer expectations and reflects premium retail standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with equestrians, riders, trainers, horse owners, competitors, local clientele, and visitors.
- Develop and manage a luxury client book through proactive outreach, follow-ups, appointment shopping, and personalized recommendations.
- Educate customers on premium equestrian merchandise, including:
- Western and British riding apparel
- Show apparel and competition wear
- Riding boots, denim, and custom hats
- Tack, saddles, and fine leather goods
- Accessories, gifts, and luxury lifestyle products
- Utilize consultative selling and styling techniques to increase average transaction value through cross-selling and upselling.
- Oversee inventory management, merchandising standards, visual presentation, and operational excellence.
- Analyze sales performance and implement strategies to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
- Partner with leadership on product launches, seasonal collections, special events, and marketing initiatives.
- Establish the boutique as a premier luxury shopping destination within the equestrian community.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of retail management experience, preferably within luxury, premium, specialty, fashion, or lifestyle retail.
- Strong understanding of Western and/or British equestrian apparel, horse sport culture, ranch lifestyle, tack, or luxury equestrian merchandise preferred.
- Proven success leading teams and driving sales performance in a high-volume retail environment.
- Experience building and maintaining long-term client relationships through luxury clienteling and personalized customer service.
- Passion for styling customers and creating memorable, high-touch shopping experiences.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and brand standards.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to launch, develop, and grow a new retail concept.
- Experience working with affluent clientele and relationship-based selling is highly preferred.
