Lawley has recently expanded into Florida, and our Claims team is adding a position to service our Florida clients. This position is primarily remote, however, candidates who live near one of our office locations may be asked to come in occasionally for in‑person collaboration or team meetings.

Fundamental Components of the Job:

• Act as a liaison between the agency, carriers and clients to maintain effective working relationships
• First report of claims, extend full courtesy and help to clients and third-party claimants
• Review coverage denials to determine the exclusions are appropriate and negotiate favorable resolutions with the carrier and the client
• Reviewing accounts for adequate coverage and recommending appropriate coverage to account manager
• Conduct open claim review and follow up on open claim diaries to insure proper handling or settlement

Other functions of the job:

Expand and grow in your role when supporting miscellaneous duties as requested

Skills/Traits That We Value for This Role:

• At least three years of experience in a similar or related position
• Relevant knowledge of personal & commercial lines claims adjustment and evaluation process
• Microsoft Office experience and skills are a must; EPIC experience preferred
• Ability to work well independently and on a team
• Property/Casualty license and/or claims-related designation preferred
• Open to continuing education, Associate degree or higher preferred
• Positive attitude, even in a fast-paced environment
• A passion to make customers and coworkers feel important and valued
• Capability to work quickly and efficiently
• Methodical, yet swift decision-making skills
• Precise verbal and written communication skills, even under time constraints

The compensation range for this position takes many factors into consideration including but not limited to: years of experience/training, skill set, and licenses/designations. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for a position as circumstances and location can vary in every hiring situation. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $51,498.15 to $85,830.25.
