Electrical Professional Engineer
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
General responsibilities will include the review of electrical systems design by others on staff for a variety of projects to include new construction, tenant improvements, or renovations for retail establishments, custom homes, multi-family dwellings, hospitality facilities, municipal facilities, medical offices, surgical centers and hospitals, and mixed-use facilities. The successful candidate will be able to review a full set of electrical drawings based on the client's design criteria to include Lighting, Power, and Systems Design, Emergency Power Distribution, Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Life Safety Code Analysis and Design, Communication Systems, and Fault Current Study/Analysis, and Photometrics. Other responsibilities may include:
-Responding to reviewer comments, reviewing submittals, and RFI's.
-Performing site visits to examine/verify existing conditions.
-Conducting electrical inspections and analyses.
-Performing close-out inspections when necessary.
The candidate must have keen attention to detail. Mentoring other electrical department team members is expected. Exceptional communication skills when communicating with project clients, partners, contractors, and sub-contractors are expected.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
-A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET accredited institution of higher learning.
-Possess a Florida Professional Engineer license.
-You have working knowledge of National Electrical Codes (NEC), Florida Building Codes (FBC), and local codes.
-You are proficient in using Revit and AutoCAD, as well as MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
-You have proven ability to perform the responsibilities listed above.
-PLEASE NOTE: You must live in the Tampa Bay area for this position.
