Bartender

We are seeking a full-time bartender who is friendly and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment!

Position Summary:
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to the Addison Reserve membership and guest. In addition, manage and organize bar area and keep bar well-stocked for all occasions. Must possess strong product knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate attention to member and guest when they approach the bar
• Mixes, prepares and serves drinks according to the recipes approved by the beverage manager.
• Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks
• Quickly prepares drink orders for the servers
• Enter all orders into the POS system accurately to ensure that the correct members are charged for the meal
• Present chit to member for signature
• Handle all credit card charges as dictated by the standard operation procedures
• Maintains record of liquors, beers, wine and sundries to ensure par stock is maintained at all times.
• Assists with monthly inventory process.
• Maintains and cleans bar area and equipment.
• Keeping work area neat and clean at all times.
• Perform cleanup and closing duties as assigned by manager
• Attend all pre-meal meetings when scheduled
• Report to management any needed repairs immediately following discovery
• Assist servers/ server assistants in room set-up when needed, including moving & arranging furniture to accommodate members and special events
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
• Act, dress, and behave in a professional manner to reflect a positive image of The Addison Reserve Country Club.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Must have a strong product knowledge of Liquors, wine and various drink recipes
• Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with the membership, guests, management and coworkers
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with many interruptions.
• Ability to be flexible and juggle many member, guest and servers orders at the same time.
• Working efficiently in a stressful environment.
• Ability to work long and unusual hours when necessary.
• Sound understanding of a leading POS system.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
• May be required to work outdoors during varying degrees and weather
• Standing for up to six hours at a time.
• Picking up and moving cases of beer, liquor, etc.

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

• Two years experience with a first class establishments.
