About the Role:

As a Commercial Handyman, you will be responsible for the comprehensive upkeep, maintenance, and repair of our commercial properties. Your keen eye for detail and proactive approach will ensure our spaces remain in optimal condition, addressing issues before they escalate and responding efficiently to client requests. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Painting, patching, and drywall repair.

  • Basic carpentry and fixture installation.

  • Minor plumbing and maintenance repairs.

  • Asphalt, stucco/EFIF, concrete repairs

  • Basic Carpentry and Door Installations

• Conduct preventative maintenance and perform repairs on various company machinery, equipment, and appliances to ensure operational efficiency.

• Proactively identify and report the need for significant maintenance repairs, and competently execute repairs where feasible.

• Regularly inspect community and commercial spaces to identify and address issues related to mechanical failures, breakdowns, or general wear and tear.

• Respond promptly and professionally to clients’ maintenance requests, ensuring effective communication and resolution.

• Perform essential repairs on plumbing systems (e.g., leaks, clogs, fixture replacements) and basic electrical systems (e.g., light fixture replacement, outlet repair).

What We're Looking For:

• A minimum of 2 years of proven working experience in a similar commercial handyman or maintenance role.

• Solid practical experience with basic plumbing and electrical systems troubleshooting and repair.

• Proficiency in working with a variety of hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.

• Valid Florida Driver’s License (this is a firm requirement due to travel between sites).

• Exceptional organizational skills with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.

• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying issues and a robust aptitude for creative problem-solving.

• Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment as needed.
