Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $22.78 - $29.62 / hour

Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating medical staff functions at Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida (GCHSWF) and Lee Memorial Hospital (LMH) and works collaboratively with the Director of Medical Staff Administrative Services. This role provides administrative support and high-level customer service to the GCHSWF and LMH Medical Staff Office and its members. Key responsibilities include coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, recording and maintaining minutes, and drafting correspondence.

Additional responsibilities include developing a thorough understanding of Medical Staff Bylaws, General Rules and Regulations, and Policies and Procedures, and assisting with their review and revision. The position supports the Nominations Committee processes and provides backup for Medical Staff orientation and support for the Emergency Department (ED) call schedules and the Person On Call (POC) system. Cross-training in other procedures may also be required.

In addition, responsibilities include assisting with webpage updates, development, and expansion, as well as designing and completing special projects using web tools, Excel, and report-writing software. It is essential to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all business, operational, and medical staff information, while also performing other activities and job-related duties as assigned by the Medical Staff Office.

Requirements

Education: One year of formal education or training in healthcare beyond high school.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in Medical Staff Services.

Certification: CPMSM certification - Certification required within two years of eligibility.

License: N/A

Other: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Microsoft Visual web developer) As well as the ability to learn other IT systems as required for Medical Staff Services.
