Nursery Production Planner

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our team. The Production Planner will be responsible for planning and procurement of all products planted at the nursery facility based on quantity of finished product to be grown. The planner maintains the inventory of all plants in production and publishes a weekly inventory report. The planner also creates, maintains and generates planting and spray schedule reports needed for greenhouse production.

Duties:- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely availability of plants and resources for production- Monitor production progress and make adjustments to schedules as needed- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials- Maintain accurate documentation of production schedules, inventory levels, and other relevant data- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred)- Proven experience in production scheduling or related roles- Proficient in using supply chain systems and software- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Pay: $34,000.00 - $37,500.00 per year
