Oracle Database Administration

Akkodis is seeking an Oracle Database Administration for a Contract with a client in Lake Mary, FL. The ideal candidate experienced Oracle DBA skilled in SQL optimization, performance tuning, and troubleshooting, with strong expertise in managing RAC, OEM, and backup/recovery operations .

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Oracle Database Administration job responsibilities include:

• Optimize SQL queries and analyze execution plans to improve database performance.

• Create, maintain, and tune Oracle database objects, including tables, indexes, sequences, and related structures.

• Monitor and manage databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and perform performance tuning at both application and database levels.

• Perform backup and recovery operations using RMAN, and manage high‑availability environments including RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.

• Analyze AWR/ASH reports, apply Oracle hints, and troubleshoot complex performance issues efficiently.

• Support database migrations, upgrades, and automation initiatives while staying updated with emerging technologies to enhance system efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 8–10 years of hands‑on experience as an Oracle DBA.

• Proven expertise in Oracle RAC, OEM, Performance Tuning, RMAN Backup & Recovery, and high‑availability environments.

• Strong proficiency in analyzing AWR/ASH reports, optimizing SQL queries, and troubleshooting complex database performance issues.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
