Group Fitness Manager

Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton is seeking a Group Fitness Manager responsible for assisting our Director with operational support of our busy and comprehensive wellness center. Our Group Fitness Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing our vibrant group exercise program. Our candidate will source, place, train and evaluate group exercise instructors, maintain attendance for all classes, make class schedule changes as needed, maintain and manage inventory supplies and all equipment needed for classes. This ideal candidate is expected to create various fitness events and specialty classes throughout the year .

Our ideal candidate will be conducting at least 10 classes per week. While prior experience in hospitality, luxury resort, country club environment is preferred, our ideal candidate must have professional fitness teaching certifications in multiple disciplines inclusive of water aerobics, TRX, spinning, yoga, and Pilates.

Must have bachelors degree in health sciences, or related, and nationally recognized certification from professional fitness organization(s). Prior experience in the hotel or private club industry preferred.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching group exercise classes
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Excellent presentation and references
• Strong computer skills are essential
• Must have proficiency in Excel
• Must be able to work a variable schedule
• Experience managing group exercise instructors , preferred
• Must be certified in group fitness to teach multiple formats, AFAA and ACE, preferred.
• Must have excellent communication skills, excellent time management and organization skills
• Must be flexible, able to work nights, weekends and holidays
