SUMMARY: The Breast Ultrasound Technician is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic and interventional breast ultrasound examinations to assist radiologists in the diagnosis and management of breast conditions. This position plays a vital role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and ensuring timely, accurate imaging services in support of breast health initiatives. The technician works collaboratively with patients, clinicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to advance the mission of Broward Community & Family Health Centers, Inc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Current Ultrasound Technician certification (ARDMS Breast Specialty preferred).
• Two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred, ideally in women’s health or diagnostic imaging.
• Strong interpersonal and communication
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Ability to clearly present ideas and recommendations, both verbally and in writing
• Problem-solving mindset with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Flexibility in work assignments and scheduling.
• Working knowledge of quality improvement processes and NCQA standards.
• Strong computer skills and EMR proficiency.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to relate with warmth and effectiveness to the patients and to the providers of Broward Community and Family Health Centers
