We are a growing company that manufactures delicious desserts and sell them to our retail locations along with our wholesale partners. We are based out of Miami, FL.

Fireman Derek’s Bakeshop is a rapidly expanding bakeshop with a fun working environment. We are known for making the best desserts in South Florida! We take pride in producing high-quality baked goods and it is our daily goal to put a smile on our customers' faces when they enjoy our delicious desserts.

We are looking for a full-time baker. This is a Monday through Friday position.

Our ideal candidate is:

• Professional and reliable.
• Carries the basic knowledge on how to successfully operate kitchen equipment like ovens, kitchen mixers, gas stove, and other basic commercial kitchen equipment.
• Can successfully manage their workstation and given tasks after thorough training.
• Ability to follow instructions and bake recipes accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to stay focused and work efficiently to complete daily baking pars.

Specific duties may include:

• Scratch baking using company recipes.
• Measure, weigh and prepare ingredients.
• Keeping kitchen areas clean, organized, and stocked.
• Ensure food surfaces and baking equipment meet all health and safety standards.
• Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machines, and other baking equipment.
• Monitor items during baking.
• Completing daily baking lists and multi-tasking to handle priority needs.
• Maintaining inventory and stock levels.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Specific Requirements include:

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
• Must speak English.
• Work well with others, strong team work ethic.
• Punctual, reliable, respectful.

Compensation:

• Immediate hire, 35-40 hours per week. Starting pay based on experience and performance within the first 90 days.
• Ranging from $16-$17 an hour depending on experience.

Fireman Derek’s Bakeshop is based out of Miami, FL with retail locations in iconic Wynwood, Coconut Grove, and Ft. Lauderdale.
