Health Care Data Analyst Specialist
PMC is seeking a Health Care Data Analyst Specialist to join our team. This role will involve close collaboration with key corporate stakeholders and health plan partners to develop and deliver comprehensive reporting and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting data-driven decision-making and driving measurable improvements in business performance.

- Design and implement processes and electronic tools to audit and monitor MRA performance and departmental metrics.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot complex scripts and reports using SQL, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other analytics platforms.
- Analyze diverse business challenges and create data visualizations that inform strategic decision-making.
- Participate in and support process improvement and quality enhancement initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret metrics, identify trends, and uncover gaps in care.
- Analyze data from multiple sources, including claims, provider, member, and encounter data, to assess business impact and identify actionable insights.
- Contribute to the execution of large-scale projects with minimal supervision.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of data anomalies and present findings along with recommended solutions.
- Manage multiple tasks and data review processes independently, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Support the design, testing, and implementation of process improvements, with a focus on automation opportunities.
- Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and data mining to uncover meaningful patterns and customer behaviors.
- Communicate findings effectively across various organizational levels using both verbal and visual formats.
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations, incorporating feedback as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Public Health, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in healthcare data analysis, preferably within managed care or health plan environments.
- Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other data visualization and analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data sources including claims, encounters, provider, and member data.
- Experience with MRA (Medicare Risk Adjustment) methodologies and performance monitoring.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present data clearly to various audiences.
- Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies and process automation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments and organizational levels.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare interoperability.
