The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman\u2019s Aeronautics Systems support team in Melbourne, FL.\n\nNote: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site.\n\nRoles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:\n\n * Perform as primary Linux Systems Administrator for a classified government contract.\n\n * Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal and external customers, in written and verbal format.\n\n * Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management.\n\n * Support multiple networks while ensuring necessary administration tasks are completed and directing others as necessary.\n\n * Analyze internal and external customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems by means of automated systems.\n\n * Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.\n\n * Provide backup and recovery services, manage file systems and disk space, and manage virus protection on a routine basis.\n\n * Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists.\n\n * Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.\n\n * Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.\n\n * Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and system components.\n\n * Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors, and evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.\n\n * Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases.\n\n * Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).\n\n * Prepare security documentation for input to Computer Security.\n\n * Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.\n\n * Work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions.\n\n\n\n\nIf you are ready to solve complex problems in a dynamic environment, apply today!\n\nThis position may filled at a higher level based on the qualifications listed below.\n\nBasic Qualifications for Level 2: \n\n * Master\u0027s Degree with 0 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor\u0027s Degree with 2 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate\u0027s Degree with 4 years of relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years of relevant experience is required\n\n * Must have a DOD 8140 security certification (examples: Security+ CE or greater)\n\n * Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret clearance in order to be considered\n\n * Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment\n\n * Must have Linux Operating Systems support experience\n\n * Linux Workstation and Server management experience is required\n\n * Experience operating under, and managing systems within, NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments\n\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications for Level 3: \n\n * Master\u0027s Degree with 3 years of relevant experience; Come join us!\n\n#LI-KK1\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
