HEALTHCARE LIAISON
- Build relationships with the physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities’ management, discharge planners, and case managers to promote our homecare services for Medicare and Private Duty Nursing.
- Conduct in-services, presentations, educational, host and attend relevant events by introducing our home health care services to physicians, patients, their families, facility staff and other referral sources.
- Coordinate and complete on-site discharge planning when needed.
- Ability to perform an initial territory market analysis and required business development plans quarterly/annually. Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating all marketing/sales activities for the company services.
- Develop and establish new business referral sources consistently.
- Successfully maintain current relationships with referral sources. Meet regularly with the clinical team.
- Identify and implement market strategies with sales and clinical teams resulting in continued census growth.
- Maintains knowledge of Medicare and State specific home health care regulations.
- Obtains physician's order for specified treatments and participates in the referral process.
- Prepare business plans and maintain target lists. Prioritize accounts in accordance with the market sales plan.
- Gather and organize account-related information and provide input on key customer opportunities, service line extensions and proposal or contract pricing.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a health-related science (e.g., nursing, pharmacy, etc.) or the equivalent plus a minimum of two years health care or related industry sales experience generally required.
- Excellent selling, organization, problem-solving skills, and the ability to appropriately represent the Company service capabilities to the targeted referral source audience is required.
- MUST HAVE Previous healthcare sales experience preferred such as selling in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), DME, ortho, cardio, etc. OR previous experience as a clinical liaison preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills required. Microsoft Office proficiency required.
- Ability to travel within assigned territory and to sales meetings as required.
