Surgical Technologist – Cardiovascular Experience Preferred But Not Required

Prosperity Placement Solutions is currently assisting a respected healthcare organization in the search for a Surgical Technologist with cardiovascular or invasive procedure experience to join a high-performing clinical team in an Office-Based Lab (OBL) setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist, Cath Lab Tech, or RCIS professional seeking a stable Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends while working alongside skilled surgeons and clinical professionals.

The ideal candidate will have strong sterile technique, cardiovascular procedure experience, and the ability to anticipate surgical team needs in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Position Details:

• Position: Surgical Technologist (Cardiovascular / Cath Lab Experience Preferred)
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Schedule: Monday – Friday (NO NIGHTS, NO WEEKENDDS, NO HOLIDAYS)
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Pay Range: $32 – $40 per hour
• Possible Sign On Bonus
• Work Setting: Office-Based Lab / Procedural Suite

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize the operating room, surgical instruments, and sterile supplies for cardiovascular and invasive procedures
• Maintain a sterile surgical environment throughout procedures
• Assist physicians, nurses, and anesthesia staff during procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and procedural setup
• Ensure accurate instrument and supply counts before and after procedures
• Monitor surgical supplies and assist with inventory and restocking
• Handle and prepare surgical specimens when necessary
• Support the clinical team in delivering safe, efficient, high-quality patient care
• Assist with equipment preparation and ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments
• Follow all HIPAA, infection control, and safety protocols

These duties are performed in collaboration with the clinical team to ensure optimal patient safety and surgical outcomes .

Qualifications

Required:

• 1 - 2 Years of Experience In a Cardiovascular
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification
• Current BLS Certification

Preferred:

• Experience in Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, Vascular, or Cardiovascular procedures
• Experience assisting with minimally invasive surgical or interventional procedures
• Strong sterile technique and OR workflow knowledge
