Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance, conditioning, and overall presentation of our private golf course. This individual will play a critical leadership role in delivering exceptional playing conditions and ensuring the course consistently meets the expectations of our membership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, supervise, and execute all aspects of golf course maintenance, including turf management, irrigation, and landscaping
• Develop and implement agronomic programs for optimal turf health and playability
• Manage and train maintenance staff, including scheduling, performance oversight, and professional development
• Oversee irrigation system operation, repairs, and water management strategies
• Monitor and control pests, diseases, and weeds in compliance with environmental regulations
• Prepare and manage the annual operating budget, including labor, equipment, and materials
• Coordinate with the Golf Professional staff to support tournaments and club events
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and safety standards are upheld
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices

Qualifications:

• Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent, preferably at a private club
• Strong knowledge of turfgrass science, irrigation systems, and pest management
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Valid pesticide applicator’s license (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
