Shipping/Receiving Materials Technician (Industrial Water Systems)

As our Shipping/Receiving Materials Technician, you’ll keep product moving, inventory accurate, and shipments secure, all while supporting a mission with real-world impact.

Role snapshot

• Handle and store both non-hazardous and hazardous materials in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Unload and load semi-trucks; verify counts, quality, and overall integrity of inbound/outbound products.
• Build skids and palletize boxes/bags into stable, optimized patterns for storage and shipping.
• Plan storage locations to maximize space; restock materials with strong attention to organization.
• Inspect goods for damage and conformity; maintain accurate inventory records.
• Prepare packaging for shipments and flex across warehouse functions as needed.
• Operate or be willing to operate a scissor lift; work effectively in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of material handling or material management experience.
• Ability to fit into very tight confined spaces (e.g., inside a small tank with entrance/exit through an 18-inch manway or by climbing over the side via ladder).

Licensing/Certifications

• Forklift certification preferred.

ADA Requirements:

Production Environment: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, intense noises, and travel.

• Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and larger weights with proper equipment. This job is located in an un air-conditioned warehouse.

• Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods. 

• Compliance with company attendance standards.
