Travel Commercial Construction Superintendent
Our construction division is seeking a Travel Commercial Construction Superintendent with strong experience in self‑storage projects and commercial construction to support our growing national portfolio. This role requires full availability to travel and lead multiple project sites across various locations.
The ideal candidate brings proven, hands‑on expertise in managing all on‑site construction activities—driving schedules, maintaining budgets, and upholding exceptional quality standards. If you have a successful track record in self‑storage construction and excel at coordinating crews, subcontractors, and project teams while working on the road, we’d be excited to have you join us.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all on-site construction activities for self-storage projects, from foundation to completion.
- Coordinate and direct subcontractors, laborers, and crews to meet project milestones and safety standards.
- Monitor daily progress, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budgets, and report potential risks or delays.
- Conduct regular site inspections to enforce quality control, safety protocols, and compliance with local regulations.
- Manage change orders and work with the project team to address unforeseen conditions or adjustments.
- Oversee the closeout process, including punch lists, final inspections, and coordination of warranties.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, including labor, materials, and equipment usage, to support project documentation.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve on-site issues and ensure seamless communication with stakeholders.
- Ensure proper cash flow management by tracking subcontractor payments and material deliveries.
- Travel as needed for various assignments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a significant focus on self-storage projects or commercial(required).
- Proven experience managing multiple self-storage construction sites simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety practices specific to self-storage facilities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and specifications effectively.
- Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills, with a focus on team coordination and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in construction management software (Procore or similar) is a plus.
