Rack Electric is a family-owned contractor with over 30 years powering South Florida. Our crews deliver commercial, residential, and EV charging installations with craftsmanship and care—now we’re adding an experienced electrician to the team.
A day in the life
You start your morning reviewing work orders in Boca Raton, then head to a commercial site to isolate a fault on a 3-phase, 480V system. By midday, you’re bending and running EMT and MC to rough-in a new panel, reading blueprints to route circuits cleanly. In the afternoon, you’re testing loads and verifying voltages, checking your work against NEC requirements, and wrapping up with documentation—plus a quick coaching moment with an apprentice who’s eager to learn.
What you’ll handle
- Troubleshoot and service 3-phase/480V electrical systems
- Install and repair wiring, panels, lighting, outlets, and related equipment
- Bend, run, and secure conduit ( EMT, MC )
- Interpret and work from blueprints and electrical schematics
- Perform voltage and load testing with appropriate instruments
- Deliver work that meets all applicable NEC codes
- Complete work orders and closeout paperwork accurately
- Provide mentorship to apprentices when needed
What you’ll bring
- Journeyman License OR 7+ years as a Lead Electrician
- 5+ years of electrical experience
- Background in commercial or industrial work environments
- Proven troubleshooting ability and independent work style
- OSHA 10 certification (required)
- Clean driver’s license
- Residence within 35 minutes of Boca Raton
