JOB TITLE: Stainless Steel MIG Welder

JOB SUMMARY

The Stainless Steel MIG Welders are responsible for the fabrication and welding of multiple materials to include aluminum, stainless steel, or others as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• At least 1 year of MIG welding experience in a production environment
• At least 1 year of experience reading a tape measure, identifying and measuring material
• At least 1 year of experience using weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
• Must be able to lift 50lbs

PREFERRED SKILLS

• At least 3 years of MIG welding experience in a production environment preferred
• Forklift certification preferred

CORE DUTIES

• Perform MIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions
• Examine weld for bead size and other specifications
• Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes
• Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jigs or fixtures
• Select torch, torch tip, filler ford, and flux according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material
• Perform all necessary maintenance and repair on all equipment used in welding

HOURS

• 1st shift position
• Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• Overtime as needed

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
