Sous Chef

The Sous Chef plays a key role in the daily culinary operations of the club. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of menu items, including seafood, meats, poultry, vegetables, sauces, and stocks, using various cooking methods and equipment according to Fountains Country Club’s standards and recipes. The Sous Chef will assist in both the à la carte and banquet kitchens, ensuring consistency, quality, and excellence in every dish served.

Salary + Quarterly Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
• Create and execute daily and weekly specials.
• Assist with the procurement of ingredients and inventory management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times.
• Execute production in both banquet and à la carte kitchens with attention to timing and presentation.
• Monitor quality control and ensure that only the highest-quality products are served.
• Learn and participate in food cost management, labor control, and facilities management.
• Requisition, code, and track invoices and supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all club policies, safety standards, and uniform guidelines.
• Close kitchen operations following established checklists and procedures.
• Participate actively in team meetings, offering suggestions for improvement and innovation

Qualifications:

• Proven culinary experience in high-volume restaurant or catering environments.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain professionalism under pressure.
• A passion for learning and developing management skills in a supportive team setting.
