We are a family restaurant who caters to the sports enthusiast. Gator's Dockside is entrenched in the community and is very involved with local schools, youth sports, and all other community activities. Are you an experienced prep cook, who needs a new view? The candidate must be used to working in a fast-paced environment and possess outstanding work ethics, as well as dynamic leadership skills. Prep Cook Job Responsibilities: Perform routine kitchen tasks Ability to read, comprehend, and understand a prep sheet Ability to read, comprehend, and follow a spec book Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment at all times Ability to use different cooking technique to prepare food Ability to store prep item correctly using food hierarchy Able to label, date, and rotate prep items using FIFO Ensure food is stored away properly when not in use Ability to read, comprehend, and understand pull thaw sheets Prep Cook Qualifications / Skills: Experience working as a prep cook in a fast-paced environment Strong multitasking and organizational skills Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety, and hygiene Passionate about culinary arts and creative cooking Excellent verbal and written communication skills Familiar with general kitchen equipment and appliances Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen Knowledge of basic cooking techniques Patience Communication skills Attention to detail Working at Gator's Dockside - Health insurance
