Cash Application Analyst
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Cash Application Analyst in Jacksonville, FL. Function and Scope:
- Monitor and maintain the accounts receivable and cash application functions, including receiving and the application of customer payments, banking documentation, and interfacing receipts from other software
- Ensure cash receipts and other accounts receivable transactions are accurately applied to customer accounts and processed according to support documentation within set accounting and accounts receivable deadlines
- Maintain accurate records of all bank reports, payment activities and other related accounts receivable transaction activities
- Serve as key contact between internal production teams and external customers ensuring prompt resolution of cash application discrepancies, disputes, and unreconciled items
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Provide training and oversight for the Accounts Receivable Offshore team
- Produce and analyze month-end accounts receivable reports
- Support an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
- Provide timely advice to internal customers (Senior Accountant(s), CSRs, Credit Team, etc.) related to the accounts receivable functions and cash application functions
- Highlight opportunities and support continuous improvement to ensure results at the highest efficiency levels, in the most cost-conscious manner, and in support of company initiatives
- Assist in the annual financial statement audit by pulling and compiling requested support along with providing explanations to the internal and external audit teams
- Assist with company and department projects and additional duties as assigned
- Associate degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent years of work experience. Bachelor's degree a plus
- 5+ years of general accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP
- Intermediate Excel & Word working knowledge
- Understanding of US GAAP accounting
- Basic general ledger skills are required
- Strong attention to detail is required, open to change management, organization, and time management
- Strong analytical skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to use numerous accounting systems
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
