Job Details:

Hilton Garden Inn is seeking a Cook to join the team! Our Hilton Garden Inn provides the guests with a well-known Tiki Bar where guests enjoy Florida weather outdoors by our Fire Pit.

The Hotel is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award-winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates.

Responsibilities include:

• Serving beverages to guests as regulated by state and federal age requirements while providing superior guest service.
• Welcoming guests, taking their orders, ring orders into POS system, deliver drinks to guest and receive payment for the order. Have a full knowledge of entire menu. Monitors bar and assigned section ensuring all guests are served.
• Mixing ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks. Serving wine and beer.
• Responding promptly to customer needs, requests for service and assistance. Responding to special requests from guests. Monitoring tables in assigned section of bar ensuring all guests are served.
• Stocking glass, liquor, beer and wine as well as condiments served in drinks. Replenish bar snacks such as chips, pretzel and nuts.
• Maintaining cleanliness standards, completing side work as assigned. Removing empty or dirty glasses and bottles, dispose properly of bottles and washes glasses in glass washer.
• Responsible for any assigned keys and for following key control policies. In accordance with liquor laws monitors guests for intoxication and reports such findings to management immediately.
• Clearing bar, resettting counters and tables. Before leaving make sure that the area of the bar is thoroughly cleaned including but not limited to counters, sinks, cups, glasses, bar mesh for counters, shakers, stirrers, etc.

• One to three months previous beverage preparation or bartending experience is preferred.
• Must be over 18 to sell liquor.
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to develop an understanding of concepts, practices, pre-established guidelines and procedures used by the company in relation to guest service is necessary.
