About the Role


As a Shift Supervisor at our Bert Muller Home, you’ll ensure the highest standard of care for residents while leading and supporting Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). You’ll manage daily program operations, ensure resident safety and well-being, and maintain regulatory compliance—all while embodying Parc’s core values: Respect, Integrity, Service, and Empathy .

Key Responsibilities

  • Train staff on adaptive equipment use and safety procedures (e.g., mealtime protocols, gait belts, lifts, wheelchairs)
  • Monitor residents' health and behavioral changes; communicate and resolve concerns with interdisciplinary team
  • Ensure up-to-date resident information, equipment maintenance, and necessary supplies
  • Oversee daily documentation and staff coverage, including scheduling during call-outs or outings
  • Assist with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, repositioning, dining) and attend or delegate for appointments
  • Maintain building safety, implement behavior protocols, and participate in IDT meetings
  • Complete weekend/holiday planning, supervisor checklists, and maintain supervisor calendars
  • Communicate professionally with families, staff, and external providers
  • Participate in monthly rotating on-call responsibilities
  • Promote a safe, clean, and positive environment aligned with all regulatory and internal standards

Requirements:

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of supervisory experience
  • Experience supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License with a safe driving record
  • Willingness to obtain PCM, CPR, First Aid, and Parc driver certifications (training provided)
  • Must pass Level II background screening and drug test
